MEDICAL SCRIBING                         Medical scribing is the procedure through which a particularly educated medical scribe records and documents a physician's real-time patient contacts. The scribe joins the physician and patient in the exam room, and the physician dictates the patient's history and physical findings, as well as any treatment plan or diagnosis, into a microphone.                            Because they are familiar with medical language and have some clinical knowledge, a medical scribe frequently writes like a doctor would, checking for inconsistencies. If there are any discrepancies, they notify the doctors, assist in resolving the issue, and even complete the documentation.
